Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask before trying Social — privacy, accuracy, pricing, and what it is (and isn’t). If your question isn’t here, the fastest answer is to try it free and ask your coach directly.
Is there an app that gives you feedback on your conversations?
Yes — Social analyzes real conversations you record, upload, paste, or narrate from memory. It scores how you came across on six dimensions (Clarity, Empathy, Assertion, Listening, Brevity, Curiosity) and a coach persona walks you through the read and the one move to make next time.
Who can see my conversations?
Only you. Conversations are private to your account, are not shared with employers, partners, or other users, and are never used to train public models. You can delete any session at any time.
How accurate is the analysis?
Every score is grounded in the transcript — the analysis cites the specific lines that produced each number, so you can check its work. It is a structured second opinion on how you came across, not a clinical assessment.
Does it work on text threads, or just voice?
Both. Paste an iMessage or Slack thread, upload recorded audio (calls, voice memos), record live in the app, or narrate a conversation from memory right after it happens.
What does Social cost?
You can start free — no card required — and analyze real conversations during the trial. After that, an unlimited subscription covers analyses, coach chat, what-if replays, and daily briefings.
Is this roleplaying with a chatbot?
No. Social coaches from your actual conversations rather than simulated ones. The what-if replay feature does re-simulate how a talk could have gone differently, but the starting point is always something real.
What kinds of conversations do people use it for?
Job interviews, difficult conversations with partners and friends, dating and text threads, manager 1:1s and feedback talks, sales calls, and family conversations.
Where should I start?
Start with the situation you actually have coming up: a job interview, a difficult conversation, a date, or a 1:1 with your report. Or read how the feedback process works end to end, then create a free account.
